PREY - Universal Product Inspector
For years, the industrial focus has primarily involved inspecting and scrutinizing products during their manufacturing process, often relying on human operators for final inspections. Automated inspection of this process has been largely overlooked due to its highly customized nature. In addressing this challenge, Prey has developed the Universal Product Inspector (UPI).
Prey aimed to create a system that is not only incredibly user-friendly but also maintains accuracy, flexibility, and repeatability across diverse industries where human inspection is currently prevalent.
The UPI finds application in various industrial sectors that demand consistent and high-quality final product assessment. This universal system is versatile and suitable for inspecting a wide range of items, with the capability to examine both sides of an assembly in less than 4 seconds.
PREY - Hawk Screen printer
Prey By Detechs Automatic Hawk Screen Printer offers high quality and reliable solder paste printing for PCB Assembly. A robust platform offers excellent repeatability ensuring a consistently high level of print.
The Inline system has an automatic vision recognition system combined with a high-precision servo drive to achieve fast and accurate alignment; this gives a print accuracy level of +/- 0.01mm. A total cleaning system, with a sub 7 second cycle time ensures high printing quality while reduced downtime for cleaning.
A Windows 10 OS backed by an easy-to-understand graphical user interface makes using the system extremely simple. Featuring a range of controllable functions such as: setting of printing height, squeegee pressure, printing stroke, print speed and stencil cleaning cycle.
The Hawk is designed to maintain a high print quality at a very competitive cost while still offering the flexibility needed for today’s modern PCB requirements.
PREY - Multi Purpose Inspector
The Prey Multi Process Inspector, MPI, offers Pre-reflow Inspection and Routed Board inspection as standard via a high speed high resolution camera combined with dual high intensity white light for precise inspection and measurement. The MPI also has an optional UV Coating Inspection upgrade to check conformal coating PCB coverage. This is provided by an additional optics and lighting system within the same chassis, this can be provided from new or installed in the field at a later date.
The pre-reflow part of the system allows for the inspection of all SMT and THT components prior to the reflow process, either as a continuous inspection process on every PCB or as a first time verification after a production changeover. Catching any incorrectly loaded, misplaced, missing parts as well as many other defects. Before the first PCB even enters the reflow oven you will have the control to allow for these errors to be quickly rectified therefore avoiding unnecessary rework and possible wasted product.
The Routed PCB Inspection allows for the PCBs to be inspected after the routing process, with precision accuracy, this makes sure that the final PCB will fit correctly into its final housing. The MPI detects and measures all tabs on a PCB, ensuring these are within the required tolerance as well as detecting and inspecting all other edges for any protrusions, that would prevent the PCB from being installed into the chassis. It is fair to say that a lot of these insertion processes are now becoming more automated, so having a correctly routed PCBA is even more critical.
The MPI is available in two PCB width options, as standard the optics provided can inspect up to 340mm at sub 20 microns, with a dual optics upgrade the width capabilities increase up to 510mm wide while maintaining sub 20 micron resolution. For PCB length, the MPI supports up to 500mm long as standard with an optional inlet conveyor to increase the maximum PCB length to up to 800mm for larger PCBs.
